This is funny and unfortunately true as it is with most social/pop cultural phenomena that lead us into a frenzy. At the same time, as opposed to going to step 6 which is "ignore" there may be a different outcome; one that utilizes extensively the ability to communicate instantly with everyone about anything
This is even funnier if you think about that fact that it is written by the media themselves (aka - a blogger from ComputerWorld) and hence is itself stuck in Stage 4 - Hype!
